Estate Clearance - beyond the Estate Sale
At Let’s Get Organized! we understand that the job of clearing a loved ones home after a loss is difficult emotionally and can be quite overwhelming. We pride ourselves on making the process easier and helping you to get through the job of sorting through the belongings, selling or donating them and getting the home ready for sale. We can help you from start to finish - all the way to making sure that the home is ready to be listed for sale. We start by meeting with you to talk about the project. We want to make sure that any valued belongings are claimed by family members first. On occasion, we have served as a mediator where there are family conflicts. We can smooth this process. Once we have determined that the remaining items are all going, we will help you sort through them and decide the best disposition strategies. Generally we start with an estate sale. This is usually 3 days, in the home. After the estate sale, we will help you determine the best places to sell or donate the remaining items. The Let’s Get Organized website has a Resource Sheet with potential consignment, antique dealers and other places to sell or donate. Finally, once we have cleared the home of the belongings we can help with getting the home cleaned, staged and ready to be listed for sale.
