Getting your home ready to sell

 Real estate agents... you know what a difference it makes when a home looks great and how much easier it is to show it and how much more likely it is that the real estate will sell quickly.  Eliminating clutter and getting organized makes a home look great!

When preparing a home for sale its important to see your home through the eyes of the buyer.  Eliminating the personal items and clutter will make your home look bigger and show better.  If you have collections its time to make a decision about them...are you ready to collect some cash for them?  Are you going to have a place to display them in your new home?  All of the personal photos should be put away.  If they are in frames, maybe its time to take them out of the frames and keep the photos in a scrapbook or photo album and take the frames to consignment or donation.  Kids toys and baby equipment should be given a place to 'hide' when its time for a showing.  If you have cleared out the closets it gives you a place to hide larger items.  When you are downsizing, its time to let go.  If you have china, crystal, silver...that you aren't using maybe its time to let it go and collect some cash or give it to a family member.
